James Dunford Receives Global Health Honor Award

Lt. James Dunford, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center Detachment, was recently recognized by CDC for his efforts developing an instructional video to track insecticide resistance as well as leading federal interagency projects related to controlling disease transmitting insects.

He received the 2012 Excellence in Partnering award from the CDC, Center for Global Health.

The award recognizes exceptional contributions of public health partner organizations that have advanced the mission of CDC and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR).

Lt. Dunford was also invited to present a poster summarizing his work on August 20th at the 61st Annual CDC and ATSDR Honor Awards Ceremony entitled Strengthening Public Health Entomology through Partnering.
