Robert T. Gast Award & Southeastern Branch Student Award

The Robert T. Gast Award (Ph.D.) and the Southeastern Branch Student Award (M.S.) are awarded to students who present the best research papers at the ESA-SEB annual meeting. The awards are based on the performance of the student’s oral presentation. Each of the first place recipients of both Robert T. Gast and The Southeastern Branch Student Awards receives a check of $200 and a plaque. The second place awardees each receive a check of $100 and a certificate.

NCB Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension

This award is presented to honor an NCB-ESA member for excellence in extension. The recipient will receive a plaque acknowledging achievement. The winner will also serve as the Branch nominee for the Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension offered by the Entomological Society of America. This ESA award at the national level only accepts nominations from the Branches.

Southeastern Branch Recognition Award in Urban Entomology

This award recognizes and encourages outstanding extension, research, and teaching contributions in urban entomology.  The award will be presented at the ESA-SEB Annual Meeting. The recipient is expected to be present at this meeting to receive the award. 

Southeastern Branch Recognition Award In Entomology

This award recognizes entomologists who have made or are making significant contributions to agriculture. The award will be presented at the ESA-SEB Annual Meeting. The recipient is expected to be present at this meeting to receive the award.

Deadline - December 15th Annually - The student must be pursuing a Ph.D. degree with a major in entomology or not have graduated more than one year prior to presentation of the award.
