Submission Tips
- Plan to invite a diversity of speakers from a variety of different Sections, localities, career paths, and backgrounds.
- A submission with at least some committed speakers is stronger than one with none.
- If you submit a Program or Section Symposium and it is rejected from that category, it will automatically be considered for Member Symposia
WORKSHOP: Several planned hands-on and interactive activities, possibly paired with presentations

Take longer than an hour, with significantly more hands-on engagement for participants? ↓WorkshopDeadline: March 1 | Be completed within an hour, often involving a short activity, panel, or guided discussion? ↓Mini WorkshopDeadline: May 1 |
Submission Tips
Workshops that focus on the following topics are strongly encouraged:
- Innovative technology (i.e., machine learning, AI)
- Grantsmanship
- Reviewing manuscripts
- How to write peer-reviewed manuscripts
- Submissions on other topics are also welcome
We encourage inviting a diversity of speakers, panelists, workshop leaders, etc.
Note: Workshops are open to ALL attendees and cannot be added to registration.
