Hutchison, Lamp Elected as Honorary Members at Entomological Society of America
Annapolis, MD; August 31, 2026—In recognition of their long-term dedication and significant contributions to the Entomological Society of America (ESA), two entomologists have been selected as Honorary Members of the Society in 2026. ESA's 2026 Honorary Members are Bill Hutchison, Ph.D., of the University of Minnesota, and Bill Lamp, Ph.D., of the University of Maryland, College Park.

Nine Entomologists Named 2026 Fellows of the Entomological Society of America
Annapolis, MD; August 5, 2026—Nine scientists have been selected as new Fellows of the Entomological Society of America for their outstanding contributions to the field of entomology. Election as a Fellow of ESA acknowledges achievements in insect science via research, teaching, extension, administration, military service, or public engagement and science policy.
Brian Nault Chosen as Entomology 2026 ESA Founders' Memorial Lecturer
Annapolis, MD; June 23, 2026—Brian Nault, Ph.D., professor of entomology at Cornell University, has been selected to deliver the Founders' Memorial Award Lecture at Entomology 2026 on November 11 in Columbus, Ohio. Nault's lecture will honor his father, Lowell R. "Skip" Nault, Ph.D. (1940–2024), a pioneer in research on the ecology, evolution, and transmission biology of insect and mite vectors during his 36-year career at The Ohio State University.
