Incoming PBT Section Treasurer

Richard Mankin, nominee for Treasurer of the Physiology, Biochemistry, and Toxicology (PBT) Section, has been a member of the ESA since 1978 and serves currently as PBT Treasurer. Previously he served as Chair of Section B, and on Editorial Boards of the Journal of Economic Entomology and Annals of the Entomological Society. Richard received his PhD from the University of Florida and is a Research Entomologist at the USDA ARS Center for Medical, Agricultural, and Veterinary Entomology, Gainesville, FL. His research focuses on detection and control of hidden insect infestations, including infestations in stored products, soil, and wood, and on the physiological and behavioral processes involved in acoustic and olfactory communication (see http://www.ars.usda.gov/rmankin). If elected, Richard will provide oversight of PBT finances and vigorously support PBT and ESA efforts to help members communicate, develop careers, and formulate science policy.
