Eastern Branch Presenter Information

Oral Presenters

Presentations should be created in a format compatible with PowerPoint (.pptx). All meeting room computers will be PCs, so a presenter who creates a presentation using a Mac should test the file on a PC computer prior to the meeting.

Student Competition 10-min Presenters:

Student competitors must provide their presentations to the Student Competition Chair, Brenna Traver, by 9:00 PM Thursday, March 12th. You will not be able to upload your presentation on the day of the session. You will receive an email from the student competition co-chairs with instructions on how to upload your talk. You will not be able to upload your talk in-person.

Any questions regarding student competition presentation uploads can be directed to Brenna Traver.

Symposia Presenters:

Presenters in symposia are requested to provide their symposium organizer with their presentation prior to the start of the session. Please coordinate the details directly with your symposium organizer.

Regular 10-min Presenters:

Presenters in the regular 10-minute presentation session should upload their talks to the Google Drive by 10:00 PM Saturday, March 14th. You will not be able to upload your presentation on the day of the session or in-person. Please name your file with the following format: your name-shortened title-day of presentation e.g. joebloggs-coolbugresearch-sunday

Poster Presenters

Poster Size: Posters must be contained within the 42x42 inch (106x106 cm) space provided. The poster must not exceed the size limit.

Setup and Removal: Bring your own Velcro strips or tacks to secure your display to the poster board. Posters should be hung in their assigned space according to the poster number assigned (to be listed in the online program by early March).

Student Posters

Setup: Sunday, March 15, 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Author Presence: All student competitors are to stand next to their posters between 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
Removal: Sunday, March 15, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Contributed Posters

Setup: Monday, March 16, 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Author Presence: Contributed poster presenters should be present from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Removal: Monday, March 16, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Presentation Permission Icons for Photography, Social Media, & AI Notetaking:

Be clear with attendees about whether you grant permission for your presentation slides to be photographed or shared on social media.

New: Attendees must obtain written or verbal consent from all participants before recording or using artificial intelligence tools to transcribe any meeting, conversation, or presentation.
