Invitation to Submit to a Special Collection
The Journal of Insect Science seeks manuscript proposals for a special collection titled “Applied Use of Chemical Ecology in Integrated Pest Management.”
The special issue will address the continued integration of current chemical ecology research into different IPM programs to improve agroecosystem health by providing potential alternative pest control strategies. Many consumers and researchers are aware of the challenges to environmental and human health with the continual use of broad-spectrum insecticides. This issue aims to raise awareness of the beneficial uses of chemical ecology in agroecosystem IPM programs with current research from multiple plant-insect systems. Papers presented in this special issue will cover topics such as pheromone disruption, use of repellents in crops and forests, insect plant communication in agricultural pests, and other topics related to chemical ecology and IPM. The collection welcomes research articles as well as review and forum (opinion) articles.
Standard open access charges and policies apply for submissions, including member discounts, waivers for authors from low and middle income countries, and read and publish deals.
